Escadron Divisionnaire de 25m/m Anti-Chars (EDAC)
(Divisional 25mm Anti-Tank Squadron)

[ Main Page ] [ TOE Page ] [ Abbreviations ] [ Sources ]

Both the Division Légère de Cavalerie and the Division Légère Mécanique use the same type of Divisional AT squadron. (a)

Note (a) : As a temporary measure, six lorries are added to the regulation issue below to carry twelve 25mm guns of the old model and six crewmen. [ Unlike the lightened Mle 1937, the original Mle 1934 Hotchkiss 25mm AT gun was designed to be horse-drawn and found to be too unstable for high speed towing by wheeled vehicles. ]

Note : The Escadron Divisionnaire de 25m/m Anti-Chars of the Division Légère de Cavalerie is adminitratively attached to the division's Régiment d'Autos-Mitrailleuses. That of the Division Légère Mécanique is adminitratively attached to one of the division's Régiment de Combat.
